Kay has received a BFA from OSU and has worked for nearly ten years in the Abstinence Education field. She has completed the only graduate level Abstinence Course offered in the United States through Cedarville University.

Description
SolidSource is a community based education organization that addresses sexual activity outside of marriage. Our main mission is to prevent teens from becoming sexually active or from continuing to be sexually active (we call that secondary abstinence) and to prepare the hearts of our young people for marriage.
SolidSource utilizes the community saturation approach to target all levels of our community, uniting everyone toward a specific goal of teaching abstinence not only from sexual activity, but also from alcohol, drugs, tobacco and violence.
SolidSource works to further develop character and healthy relationships in all youth; strengthen the institution of marriage and the family in society; and reinforce the authority and responsibility of parents as the primary educators of children. We operate under the premise that young people are capable of demonstrating self control and discipline in their behavior when given the proper guidance and support. We believe it makes sense to encourage teens to avoid the risk rather than focusing all our resources on treating the alcohol or drug addiction or managing teen pregnancies.
We have been able to provide every school in Van Wert County with abstinence in preparation of marriage services. We also provide services to The Marsh Foundation, The Starr Commonwealth, The Youth Bureau, Vantage Vocational School, Youth For Christ, The YWCA, and Calvary Evangelical Church.
